Independent treatment is private treatment designed to mimic the offering and pricing structure of the NHS system. This means if you had a check-up you would be charged £18.80 (the current NHS band 1 charge) and for a filling it would be £51.30 (current NHS band 2).
The work would still have the same guarantee as NHS treatment but unlike the NHS, multiple treatments or returning within 3 months would result in separate charges.
Independent will soon be offered to patients on our waiting list as we are currently not able to see more patients on the NHS.
